Secrets, yearning, hopes and dreams
waiting in the silence.
Dust collecting and laying thick upon
my brittle, fragile pages.

Shaking hand penned spidery
words that never shall be
spoken. And in the silence,
lying in wait, my story not yet told.

Tales of secret ventures and
forbidden love in darkness deep
leaving hearts in shatters; the unknown
temptress danced the streets.

But these stories that burned so fierce
and strong now live in me untold as
time brings on decay. My plain and unmarked
covers hold treasures never known.
